Judge Declan Curran of Leicester, UK; ethical dwarf

The Law Society provided Linda McGarr with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from the University of Essex School of Law.

The Lord Chief Justice and with the Lord Chancellor’s agreement found Declan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Misused his judicial status when making an application in one or more private court proceedings
• Involvement in private court proceedings was in breach of the declaration and undertaking’ signed by all magistrates on appointment
• Failed to notify his bench chair of his involvement in the private court proceedings

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice punished Declan by gifting him with complimentary formal warning.

It’s my understanding that this type of punishment can be very, very painful especially if one is standing upright while being punished.

As we speak (ca. January 2023), Declan continues to dispense his so-called idea of jurisprudence as a Justice of the Peace of the Lincolnshire Branch in the United Kingdom.
