Attorney Christa Emerson of Tewksbury, MA; ethical troll

The state of Massachusetts presented Christa L. Emerson with a law license in 2010 after she graduated from the Massachusetts School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Christa guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Christa met a client through an online dating and social networking website
• Once they met in person, they discovered they had many common interests, including their respective real estate businesses
• Although the client was not interested in a sexual relationship with Christa, she repeatedly texted him nude and otherwise inappropriate photos during the relationship, and sent him provocative text messages
• The client retained Christa to do legal work for him on multiple matters
• Christa never communicated to the client in writing the scope of the representation and the basis or rate of the fee and expenses for which he would be responsible
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
• Failed to protect her client’s interests

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers punished Christa by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Christa fails to mention the above misconduct on her self-serving website at www.landmarktitleandlegal.com.  Apparently, she chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting her future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. November 2022), Christa practices her so-called brand of law with Landmark Title & Legal Services LLC in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.
