Attorney Suzanna MacLean of Sumter, SC; moronic druggie

The State of South Carolina presented Suzanna Rachel MacLean with a law license in 2012 after she graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel of the South Carolina Supreme Court found Suzie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Suzie was arrested and charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance
  • Items located in Suzie’s car included a plastic bag with 5 suspected ecstasy pills: a plastic bag with five white pills believed to be hydrocodone pills: a plastic bag with an amount of suspected "molly", and two plastic bags containing approximately 8 grams of an item suspected to be cocaine
  • Also located in the car was a marijuana pipe containing a small amount of marijuana and a white pill bottle containing suspected marijuana The charges were dismissed by the Solicitor's office due to concerns regarding the legality and constitutionality of the stop and search
  • Suzie failed to notify the Commission in writing within fifteen days of being arrested and charged
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to withdraw from representation when required to so act
  • Disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
  • Failed to communicate with a client

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the South Carolina Supreme punished Suzie by gifting her with a complimentary 3-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), Suzie practices her so-called brand of law at in Sumter, South Carolina.
