The state of Louisiana presented Derrick K. Williams with a law license in 2006 after he graduated Tulane University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Derrick guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Mismanaged his trust account
• Engaged in the unauthorized practice of law
• Failed to cooperate with the ODC in its investigations (Up yours, said Derrick!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Derrick by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license effective May 24, 2022.

As we speak (ca. October 2022), Derrick will resume his so-called brand of law at 4001 Carter Street in Vadalia, Louisiana in May 2023.
