Attorney James Baker of Salt Lake City; ethical misfit

The State of Utah presented James Baker with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to prevent non-attorney from engaging in illegal practice of law
  • Failed to properly supervise non-attorney working in his office
  • Jimmy did not meet with the clients that non-attorney improperly advised

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2022), Jimmy practices his so-called brand of law with James R. Baker LC at 7109 Highland Drive in Salt Lake City, Utah.
