Attorney Phil Singer of Las Vegas, NV; dimwitted slacker

The state of Nevada presented Stephan Compan with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the Brooklyn School of Law.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to provide competent representation (dimwit) involving numerous clients
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law on several occasions
  • Failed to safeguard client funds belonging to numerous clients
  • Knowingly disobeyed obligation under the rules of a tribunal on numerous occasions (Up yours, said Phil!)
  • Repeatedly failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Knowingly made a false statement of fact
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Made false statement to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Phil!)

In addition, Phil was ordered to restitution of $67,334.42 to the following persons or entities for the purpose of reinstating his law license.

  1. $1,395.00 to attorney Robert Weaver
  2. $2,197.95 to Progressive Preferred Insurance
  3. $7,424.00 to Alignment Chiropractic
  4. $8,001.73 to Kapualeilani Wilhelm
  5. $8,910.34 to Frank & Justin Mosher
  6. $12,130.40 to Preferred Chiropractic
  7. $13,275 to Silmo Management
  8. $14,000.00 to Edgar Pardo

Phil was also ordered to submit to fee arbitration with the following persons representing $32,200.00 as a condition of having his law license reinstated.

  1. $700.00 with Debra Jacobs
  2. $1,500.00 with Tina Zanghi
  3. $30,000.00 with Tarrell Smith

Phil was also ordered to repay $27,871.72 to the Client Security fund representing amounts paid by the fund to his prior clients (victims).

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary disbarment with the right to file for reinstatement in five years and assessed costs of $7,226.73.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Phil and his firm fail to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.attorneydanwinder.com. Apparently, they decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients to assure that they would not limit their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. May 2022), Phil practices his so-called brand of law with the Law Office of Dan M. Winder at 3507 West Charleston Blvd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
