Attorney Ryan Cann of Reno, NV; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Nevada provided Ryan J. Cann with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Ryan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Ryan’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with his client
• Caused his client anxiety about client’s patent application
• Knowingly failed to perform services for a client
• Knew of response deadline and failed to meet it on behalf of his client
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to promptly comply with client information requests

Ryan’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to perform agreed-upon services on client’s behalf
• Failed to return fee already paid (cheater)
• Failed to deposit client fee into a client trust account
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to prepare client patent application for over six months
• Misconduct cause injury to his clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Ryan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of $1,500.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Ryan fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.canniplaw.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.
