Attorney Andrew Aeilts of Pella, IA; lying drunk

The state of Iowa provided Andrew G. Aeilts with a law license in 2014 after he graduated from Drake University School of Law.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Andy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Convicted of driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty or fraud
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Lied to police that a client’s father had threatened to assault him
  • Recording of call from client’s father proved that he had never threatened to assault Andy, nor had he used any expletives when talking to him
  • Pella Police Department later charged Aeilts with malicious prosecution and filing a false report
  • Andy entered an Alford guilty plea on the malicious prosecution charge

And lastly, as one would suspect, Andy fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.aglawfirm.us. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Andy by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Andy practices his so-called brand of law with AG Law PLLC at 813 Washington Street in Pella, Iowa.
