Attorney David Hunt of Portland, ME; slacker, loser

The state of Maine presented David E. Hunt with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Chicago School of Law. Davey also received a law license in New York and Florida.

The Grievance Commission of the Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Davey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Repeatedly treated for serous substance abuse
• Failed to perform all his legal work on behalf of his clients
• Failed to fully monitor client matters
• Engaged in improper use of his operating and trust accounts

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2022), Davey practices his so-called brand of law with Pearce & Dow LLC in Portland, Maine.
