Attorney Bobby Gray Jr. of Adamsville, TN; convicted thief

The state of Tennessee unfortunately presented Bobby Gene Gray Jr. with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law.

The Board of Professional Responsibility found Bobby guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Bobby admitted to taking controlled substances from an evidence room while he served as an assistant district attorney
  • Pled guilty to official misconduct
  • Plead guilty to theft of less than $1,000
  • Pled guilty to simple possession of a controlled substance
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Bobby practices his so-called brand of law at 981 Bob Abernathy Road in Adamsville, Tennessee.
