Attorney David Francis of Las Vegas; slacker, convict

The state of Nevada presented David Francis with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the California Western University School of Law.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Davie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with several clients
  • Failed to safeguard client property
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Convicted of aiding and abetting firm employee in falsely signing and notarizing a client settlement agreement
  • Misconduct involved dishonest or selfish motive
  • Allowed his office to maintain an improper referral relationship with a tow truck driver
  • Failed to promptly pay monies owed to his clients
  • Convicted twice in Utah of driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished David by gifting him with a complimentary 6-year suspension of his law license, fined him $150,000.00 payable to the Client Security Fund, and assessed costs of $150,000.00.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Davey practices his so-called brand of law at 8831 West Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada.
