The state of Georgia presented Mark Preston Jones with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Mark’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Made a campaign video that featured drivers cutting doughnuts in a civic center parking lot, leaving tire marks on the pavement
• Charged with first-degree criminal damage
• Charged with interfering with government property
• Charged with criminal conspiracy
• Caused $306,000 in damages to the government property

All that’s left now is to see how long Mark will be spending at the Ware State Prison in Waycross, Georgia after a jury finds him guilty of the criminal conduct set forth above.

Mark’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

In early September 2021, a grand jury indicted Mark for engaging in the following criminal conduct.

• Charged with offering $1,000 bribes to two prosecutors to obtain a murder conviction
• Attempted to influence a police officer to testify before a grand jury that a shooting suspect thought the victim had been cheating on him, thereby providing a motive for a murder charge
• Attempted to bribe an assistant DA under his supervision
• Charged with subornation of perjury
• Offered $1,000 to a prosecutor to falsely say she was read for a murder trial
• Used a threat and misleading conduct to prevent a person’s testimony in a victim impact statement
• Failed to assist a person through the complexities of the criminal justice system

All that remains now is to see how long it takes before Mark cops a plea to lessen the amount of time, he’ll be spending at the Ware State Prison. Hopefully, the sentencing judge will order that he be lodged in Cell No. 88 wherein his cellmate will be Clarice (real name Clarence) known to be a real friendly kind of fellow.
