Judge Kenneth L. Govendo; Northern Mariana Islands; bigoted moron
Unfortunately, Judge Govendo has been sitting as a Superior Court Family Judge since 2002.
The Supreme Court of the Northern Mariana Islands found Kenneth guilty of the following misconduct involving his racially tainted comments in open court that were specifically aimed at people of Philippine descent.
- ”What I’m really going to do is I’m going to notify the Attorney General’s Office that I believe there is a violation of an order of protection and I want criminal charges brought against Mr. Castillo. It is time to say goodbye to Mr. Castillo. . It is time that he went back to the Philippines, okay. .”
- We don’t need people like Mr. Castillo here. And since we’re still in charge of the immigration, it’s time to say “PROBLEM! ADIOS PROBLEM!” Back to the P.I. where you can be a problem there, okay. We have enough problem children here from the P.I. and it’s time we get rid of them
- I want to see you leave the Northern Mariana Islands. And when you leave, I will be at the airport to go
- “ADIOS MUCHACHO! DON’T COME BACK.” Alright!
- “It is now time to start cleaning house in the CNMI.”
- “I wish I could get rid of the locals but I can’t. They’re American citizens. But the ones who are not,
- there’s no reason why we should have to put up with them.”
- “Picture all the Filipinos here, every single one of them as got five nieces and nephews, back in the Philippines, would bet better off here. So all you have to do is get married to an Americano, beg him, and he’ll adopt them.
Its quite obvious that Judge Govendo has an inherent bias against Filipinos. Moreover, he was more than willing to use the court as a platform to air his bigoted views.
As a consequence of his misconduct the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Northern Mariana Islands Supreme Court punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. June 2012) Judge Govendo continues to sit as a Superior Court Judge. What a joke!
