Attorney Troy Leavitt of Blue Springs, MO; lying slacker

The state of Missouri presented Troy Jonathan Leavitt with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law.

The Disciplinary Board found Troy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to adequately communicate with client
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to promptly comply with client information requests
  • Knowingly made a statement that Troy knew to be false or with reckless disregard as to its truth or falsity concerning the qualifications or integrity of a judge, adjudicatory officer or public legal officer, or of a candidate for election or appointment to judicial or legal office
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Marsha by gifting her with a complimentary 2-year term of probation and assessed $1,500 in costs.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Disciplinary Board didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Troy.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Troy practices his so-called brand of law in Blue Springs, Missouri.
