Attorney Leslie Stovall of Las Vegas; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Nevada presented Leslie Mark Stovall with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Leslie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

Leslie’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to file opposition to motion for summary judgment on client’s behalf
• Failure to file memo in opposition to defendant’s motion for summary judgment led to the trial court granting said motion
• Failed to comply with Supreme Court orders regarding appeal filed on client’s behalf
• Failure to comply with Supreme Court order led to client’s appeal being dismissed
• Instructed his paralegal to lie to his client that his appeal was still pending with the Supreme Court
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Leslie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Leslie’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Allowed non-attorneys to provide legal advice
• Repeatedly failed to respond to client calls
• Refused to provide client with refund

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Leslie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Leslie’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Knowingly failed to timely oppose a summary judgment motion in a wrongful death action on client’s behalf
• Failed to appear at hearing on summary judgment motion
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Leslie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed disciplinary costs of $1,500.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Leslie fails to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.lesstovall.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal said relevant facts from prospective clients to prevent limiting his future victim pool.
