Attorney Michael Hamilton of Las Vegas, NV; dimwitted slacker

The state of Nevada presented Michael H. Hamilton with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Nevada School of Law.

The Nevada Disciplinary Boar found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (dimwit)
• Failed to communicate with his client
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to advise client that her lawsuit had been dismissed
• Lied to his client about the status of her lawsuit
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Mikey!)
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• Ordered to pay $90,000 in restitution

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 2-month suspension of his law license and ordered to pay disciplinary costs of $2,500.00.
