Attorney Keisha Gatison of New Haven, CT; serial offender

The state of Connecticut presented Keisha Shantell Gatison with a law license in 2005 after she graduated from Duquesne University School of Law.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Keisha guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to perform any significant work on behalf of her client
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Keisha!)
  • Failed to provide competent representation (dimwit)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to promptly respond to client information requests
  • Failed to provide her client with an accounting of fee claim

As one would suspect, this was not Keisha’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. She previously received three (3) complimentary reprimands for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Keisha by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Keisha practices her brand of law with the Gatison Law Firm at 315 Front Street in New Haven, Connecticut.
