Judge Deepali Sharma of Haridwar, India; accused of torturing 13-year-old

The Uttarakhand High Court provided Deepali Sharma with a judicial service date 2010.

In one matter, the High Court ordered that Judge Sharma be suspended as a direct result of her engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Accused of torturing a 13-year-old she hired as domestic help
  • Police raided Sharma’s on an anonymous tip and rescued the minor
  • Police said that the young girl had been first employed by Sharma when she was 10 years old

As a direct result of the criminal and/or quasi criminal conduct set forth above the Uttarakhand High Court ordered that Judge Sharma be suspended from the bench.

All that remains now is to see how long it takes before Judge Sharma cops a plea to limit the amount of time she will have to spend in prison.

As we speak (ca. April 2021), Judge Sharma is rumored to have applied for a job as a greeter at one of the 19 Best Price Modern Wholesale stores owned and operated by Walmart.
