Attorney Mark Randolph of Winston Salem; liar, repeat offender

The state of North Carolina presented Mark E. Randolph with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

Mark’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Lied in application for legal malpractice insurance that he was unaware of any grievance having been filed against him
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Mark’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in multiple violations of the disciplinary rules
• Failed to provide annual accounting to clients regarding funds that he was holding on their behalf over the period of six-years
• Failed to comply with minimum account requirements
• Failed to keep clients informed of status of mater
• Failed to issue replacement check to clients within reasonable period after he learned the original $35,596.98 had been misplaced
• Failed to promptly deliver entrusted funds to client as directed
• Failed to hold entrusted property intact in violation of the rules

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jimmy.
