Attorney Montie Day of Reno, NV; perjurer

The state of California provided Montie Stowell Day with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from the University of California Berkeley School of Law.

The State Bar Court found Montie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Falsely reported under the penalty of perjury to the State Bar that he was in compliance with the MCLE (Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirements
  • Falsely reported he completed 25 hours of MCLE education during the relevant compliance period when in fact he had not done so
  • Committed an act involving moral turpitude, dishonesty, or corruption in willful violation of the California Business and Professions Code

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Montie by gifting him with a complimentary reproval.

Because Attorney Misfits in California are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Montie was never criminally charged with perjury.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Montie practices with the Day Law Offices at 59 Damonte Ranch Parkway in Reno, Nevada.
