The state of Massachusetts presented David M. Blumenthal with a law license in 1967 after he graduated from Boston University School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain required IOLTA trust account records
• Failed to obtain title insurance policies in the course of a conveyancing practice
• Failed to properly supervise a paralegal
• Failed to keep complete records of his receipt, maintenance and distribution of all funds in an IOLTA account
• Failed to remit to clients or third parties all funds due them from his trust account
• Failed to reconcile office trust account on a regular basis

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Board of Bar Overseers didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Davey.

As we speak (ca. March 2020) Davey practices at 1330 Boylston Street in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
