Attorney Donna Boggs of Newport, NC; imbecilic liar
The state of Massachusetts presented Donna Boggs with a law license in 2002 after she graduated from Boston University School of Law. She also received a law license from the state of North Carolina in 2014.
The Board of Bar Overseers found Donna guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Failed to advise client of impending deadline for filing notice of appeal
-
Upon returning from a vacation, Donna decided to discontinue representation of her client regarding pursuing a requested appeal on her behalf; however, she never advised the client of said decision
-
Donna never ascertained the deadline or noticed an appeal for the client
-
Failed to answer repeated communications from client alerting her to the actual deadline for her to file a notice of appeal on the client’s behalf
-
Failed to provide competent representation (imbecile)
-
Failed to seek client’s lawful objectives through reasonably available means
-
Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
-
Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
-
Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit client’s informed decisions
-
Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests upon termination
-
Failed to provide client with a written contingent fee agreement
-
Failed to file complaint with the court on client’s behalf after accepting to represent the client to enforce an unsatisfied judgment execution of $9,000
As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Donna by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. March 2020) Donna practices with the Law Offices of Donna J. Boggs PLLC at 5276 Highway 24 in Newport, North Carolina.
