Attorney David Anderson of Charleston, WV; ethical troll

The state of West Virginia presented David Mitchell Anderson with a law license in 2011 after she graduated from the University of West Virginia School of Law.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Davey guilty of the following misconduct

  • Failed on numerous occasions to communicate with his client
  • Client compelled to complaint to appellate court about Davey’s failure to communicate with him
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to explain matter to extent reasonably necessary to permit his client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Gross incompetence/negligence cause client to be wrongfully imprisoned at the North Central Regional Jail for 433 days after he should have been released

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting his with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. January 2020), Davey practices with the Public Defender Corporation, 13th Judicial Circuit at 816 Quarrier Street in Charleston, West Virginia.
