Attorney Demetrios Dalacas of Las Vegas; scamming slacker

The state of Nevada presented Demetrios A. Dalacas (DAD) with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.

FYI: Cooley is ranked as the worst or one of the worst law schools in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools. Proof of such a ranking is the fact that Donald Trump’s former attorney and fixer was none other than convicted felon Michael Cohen.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Demetrios guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Pursued claims that were not meritorious (frivolous)
• Failed to expedite client litigation
• Clients harmed by having cases dismissed w/o their knowledge
• Engaged in a pattern of neglect
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Failed to effectuate service of process of client complaints in multiple cases
• Either falsely told client case was still ongoing or failed to inform the client of dismissal of case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Demetrios by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Demetrios.
