Attorney Aubrey Denton of Lafayette, LA; ethical goblin

The state of Louisiana presented Aubrey E. Denton with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Southern University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Aubrey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Mismanaged his client trust account
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Improperly deposited excess funds into client trust account for payment of bank charges
  • Failed to personally sign every check, draft or electronic transfer of client trust account fund

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Aubrey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Aubrey.

As we speak (ca. June 2019), Aubrey practices his brand of law at 108 Boulder Creek Parkway in Lafayette, Louisiana.
