Attorney Pamela Carter of River Ridge, LA; cheerleader for convicted racketeers

The state of Louisiana presented Pamela Washington Carter with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from Southern University School of Law.

In one matter, Pam was a member of a disciplinary committee panel that was considering the reinstatement of attorney Arthur Gilmore Jr., a convicted racketeer who was sentenced to 24-months in federal prison. Apparently, Pam is more concerned with Mr. Gilmore being reinstated to practice law than she is with his tendency to engage in racketeering activities. Seemingly, Pam is under the impression that Mr. Gilmore has an absolute constitutional right to earn a dishonest living practice law.
