Attorney Franklin Coyner of Stuarts Draft, VA; ethical leprechaun

The state of Virginia presented Franklin Clemmer Coyner with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law.

The Circuit Court Three-Judge panel of the City of Staunton found Frankie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Records for receipt and disbursement of funds from trust account for two years were incomplete
• Failed to main cash receipts and disbursement journals
• Entries for receipts, disbursements and transfers failed to identify client
• Failed to identify which trust funds were received disbursed, or transferred from his trust account for each trust account transaction
• Failed to maintain separate ledge for each client
• Failed to reconcile his trust account for two years
• Admitted he deposited client advance fees directly into his operating account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Frankie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2019), Frankie practices in Stuarts Draft, Virginia.
