Attorney Tyrone Watkins of New Orleans; cheating slacker

The state of Louisiana presented Tyrone F. Watkins with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Southern University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Tyrone guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  Failed to communicate with client
• Improperly declined or terminated representation
• Failed to make reasonable efforts to expedite litigation
• Charged and collected an unreasonable fee (cheater)
• Ordered to reimburse client (victim) $3,625 representing unearned fee

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Tyrone by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Tyrone.
