Attorney Gilbert Kea of Lihue, HI; moronic slacker

The state of California presented Gilbert P. Kea with a law license in 2013 after she graduated from the William S. Richardson School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel Bar found Gil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to maintain communications with Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (LIRAB) after he missed a scheduled hearing
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to attend at least two additional hearing scheduled by LIRAB regarding client matter
  • Failure to appear at hearings lead to dismissal of client’s appeal
  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to inform LIRAB of his withdrawal of client representation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Gil!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hawaii Supreme Court punished Gil by gifting him with a complimentary 5-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2018), Gil practices at 4268 Rice Street in Lihue, Hawaii.
