Attorney Michael Fitzgerald of Knoxville, TN: ethical elf

The state of Tennessee provided Michael Douglas Fitzgerald with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Fitzgerald failed to maintain trust account records as required
  • Failure to properly maintain trust account records made it impossible for ethics investigators to determine if Mikey was handling trust funds correctly

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. September 2018) Mikey practices at 719 Andy Holt Tower in Knoxville, Tennessee.
