Attorney Blake Hankey of Grand Forks, ND; ethical goblin

The state of North Dakota presented Blake D. Hankey with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from Western State Law College in Fullerton, California.

The Disciplinary Board charged Blake with engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a conflict of interest involving two clients with conflicting interests
• Lied to client that he cleared any conflicts with his law partners
• Victim of misconduct was vulnerable
• Conflict could not be consented to by the clients because their interests were inescapably adverse
• Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct
• Had selfish motive regarding misconduct
• Made false statements during disciplinary process (Screw you, said Blake!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the North Dakota Supreme Court punished Blake by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2018), Blake practices with Hankey Law at 405 Bruce Avenue in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
