Attorney Richard Barrett of Riverside, CA; Imbecile, repeat offender  

The state of California provided Richard Lynn Barrett with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from California Western State University Law School.

The California State Bar found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

Dick’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to complete client’s dissolution of marriage matter
• Failed to timely substitute out of dissolution matter
• Repeatedly failed to perform legal services with competence (Imbecile)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reproval.

Dick’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to perform legal services competently (Dumbo)
• Failed to respond to client status inquires
• Failed to refund unearned fee (thief)
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Dick!)
• Made a misrepresentation (lied) to his client
• Failed to return client file upon termination
• Improperly withdrew representation re: three clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the supporters for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2017), Dick practices with The Barrett Law Office at 5806 Magnolia Avenue in Riverside, California.
