Attorney Wilbert Terry Sherrill of Charlotte; convict, druggie, loser

The North Carolina Supreme Court presented Wilbert Terry Sherrill with a law license in 1980.  In the late 1980s, Wilbert was able to dupe the voters in Mecklenburg County (Charlotte) into electing him as a Superior Court judge.

In 1990 Judge Wilbert "The Cokehead" Sherrill was convicted of felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor offense for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of his criminal conviction the North Carolina Supreme Court removed him from the bench.

Shortly thereafter, the North Carolina State Bar disbarred Willy the Druggie. However, the enablers for Attorney/Judicial Misfits sitting on the State Bar ruled that Willy the Con could apply to have his law license reinstated within two years of his disbarment.

In the mid-nineties, the apologists for Attorney Misfits at the State Bar gifted Willy the Convict by re-instating his law license. Should we be surprised that convicted felons are practicing law in North Carolina? Y’all down Charlotte way shouldn’t feel special because convicted felons are practicing law all over the U.S. of A.

Apparently, the members of the State Bar felt it wouldn’t be fair to deny Willie the Con an opportunity to earn a dishonest living as an attorney.

As we speak (ca. July 2011) Terry the Loser continues to practice law with Sherrill and Emehel at 525 N. Tryon Street in Charlotte.
