The state of Louisiana presented Dana Annette Bolton with a law license in 2001.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Dana guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to adequately communicate with client
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of client funds
• Failed to take steps to protect client interests upon termination
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Dana by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.
