Judge Hu Ye of Zhengzhou, China: incompetent boob

In one matter, Judge Ye was placed on leave as a direct result of an investigation into a miscarriage of justice that put an innocent man behind bars for 11 years.

Judge Ye was suspended from duty at the Higher People's Court of Henan Province after Zhao Zuohai, who was jailed for a murder that never happened, was acquitted.

An investigation by a disciplinary investigation team and supervision office of the court found Hu was responsible for the review of Zhao's case 11 years earlier. 

Zhao Zuohai, 57, was released from jail when the man the alleged murderer turned up alive.

Had Judge Ye’s gross incompetence taken place while he was sitting on the bench in New York, California, Ohio or any other number of states he would never have been suspended. In fact, in the good Ol’ U. S. of A. this conduct normally results in the offending judge being appointed to a higher judicial office.

As we speak (ca. January 2017), rumor has it that Judge Ye is employed as a Rickshaw driver in Nanyang, China.
