Attorney C. Benjamin Scroggins of Las Vegas; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Nevada presented C. Benjamin Scoggins with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Benny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Benny!)
• Failed to send demand letter despite repeated client requests
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to safeguard client property
• Failed to decline or terminate representation when required

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Benny’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Benny by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license. 

As we speak (ca. December 2016), Benny practices with The Law Firm of C. Benjamin Scroggins Chartered at 1810 East Sahara Avenue in Las Vegas, Nevada.
