Attorney Glen Lerner of Las Vegas; money grubbing loser
The state of Nevada provided Glen Lerner with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Tulane University Law School.
The State Bar of Nevada has charged Glen with engaging in the following misconduct.
Glen’s law firm attempted to make a killing by suing BP regarding the Horizon Deepwater incident on behalf of alleged victims of the huge oil spill. In one case, Glenn’s firm represented shrimp boat owner Casey Thonn, who tried to cheat the victim’s compensation settlement fund out of $355,000. Mr. Thonn is now spending his time in prison. Glenn’s dealings formed the basis for sanctions by a federal judge and subsequently put him in the position where’s he now being charged with professional misconduct.
Glen is accused of laundering money to conceal $40,000 in secret payments to attorney Lionel Sutton, a friend who referred Mr. Thom to him after Sutton went to work for the Claim Administration Office.
Glenn and his lawyer friend Jon Andry were sanctioned by U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier of New Orleans in February 2015 for “dishonesty, deceit and misrepresentations.” Judge Barbier went on to say that he the hundreds of Glen’s oil spill clients had to find other attorneys, and the two attorneys lost their fees.
All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted to Glen by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court.
As we speak (ca. November 2016), Glen practices with Glen Lerner Injury Attorneys at 4795 South Durango Drive in Las Vegas, Nevada. |
