Attorney Ronald Weber Jr. of Houston; ethical dwarf

The state of Texas presented Ronald Martin Weber Jr. with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from the University of Houston Law School.

In one matter, Chief U.S. District Court Judge P.K. Holmes III of the Western District of Arkansas in Fort Smith ruled that Ronnie violated rules and abused the judicial process in "bad faith" when he moved to dismiss a class action insurance case with United Services Automobile Association over labor pricing in June 2015 from Holmes' court to the Circuit Court of Polk County, where it was settled the next day for a value of $3.4 million with $1.8 million in legal fees.

Judge Holmes stated that Ronnie violated a tradition of federal court "authority and obligation to protect putative class members.” In short, Judge Holmes found Ronnie guilty of “judge shopping,” meaning he knew he wouldn’t get a large fee award from Judge Holmes so he decided to dismiss the case and present it to a friend Arkansas State Judge.

As a consequence of his highly unethical conduct, Ronnie received a reprimand from Judge Holmes.

As we speak (ca. October 2016), Ronnie practices with Crowley Norman LLP at 3 Riverway in Houston, Texas.
