Attorney William Wigoda of Chicago; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Illinois presented William Samuel Wigoda with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from John Marshall Law School.

The Illinois Registration and Disciplinary Commission found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to timely respond to opposing counsel discovery requests
  • Never responded to defense motion for summary judgment on client’s behalf
  • Failed to appear at court-ordered arbitration on client’s behalf
  • Failed to file objection to arbitration award rendered against client
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Billy’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary censure for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (August 2016), Billy practices with Jakubs & Wigoda LLP at 53 West Jackson Blvd in Chicago, Illinois.
