Attorney Gilbert Alvandi of Irvine, CA; convicted of battering girlfriend

The state of California provided Gilbert Alvandi with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from the University of California Hastings Law School.

The California Bar Court found Gil guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Gil pled no contest (guilty in effect) to resisting arrest and battery. Gil assaulted his live-in girlfriend, pulling her by the hair across the bedroom floor in their apartment.

Though the girlfriend moved out after the incident, she returned to their apartment days later, an argument ensued and the woman locked herself in the bathroom, where she texted her cousin to call police. Gil berated arriving officers and refused to let them into the apartment. When they finally gained access to the apartment, they handcuffed him.

As a consequence of his misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Bar Court punished Gil by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year term of probation.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Gil.

As we speak (ca. August 2016), Gil practices with the Alvandi Law Group PC at 2955 Main Street in Irvine, California.
