Attorney Carl Williams of New Orleans; serial loser, ethically inept

Attorney Carl Williams was sadly provided with a license to steal, I’m sorry I mean a law license by the Louisiana Supreme Court in 1987.

To suggest that attorney Williams is a serial thief is a monumental understatement. As you’ll see below, Williams has acted as glutton while feasting on the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree on at least four (4) occasions.

1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree (ca. 1996)

In Carl’s initial bite at the Misfit Apple Tree, he was found guilty by the Lousiiana Disciplinary Commission of engaging in the following misconduct
  1. Failing to properly communicate with a client
  2. Failing to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Carl!)
  3. Failing to promptly return unearned fees to clients
For this misconduct, the enablers on the Commission punished Carl by gifting him with an admonition.

2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree (ca. 1998)
In his next and 2nd bite at the Misfit Apple Tree, the Louisiana Disciplinary Commission found Carl guilty of the misconduct set forth below.
  1. Failure to deposit client funds in a trust account
  2. Converting (stealing) client funds
  3. Failing to protect client funds
For this misconduct the losers on the Commission punished Carl by gifting him with a complimentary ninety (90) suspension of his law license.

3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree (ca. 2007)

In this instance, Carl was found guilty by the Commission of failing to reduce to writing a contingent fee agreement as required by Supreme Court Rules.

For this misconduct the morons on the Disciplinary Commission again gifted Carl with yet another admonition.

4th bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree (ca. 2010)

In his latest trip to the Misfit Apple Tree, the Disciplinary Commission again found Carl guilty of failing to reduce a contingent fee to writing as required by Supreme Court Rules. (See Bite No. 3 above) He was also found guilty of the following:
  1. Converting (stealing) client funds
  2. Failing to deposit client funds in a separate trust account
For this misconduct the enablers at the Commission gifted Carl the Loser with a one-year suspension.

As we speak (ca. Jan 2011) this serial loser practices law at 1010 Common Street in New Orleans. What a joke!
