Attorney Kimberly Bunton of Louisville; crook

The state of Kentucky presented Kimberly Lynn Burton with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from the University of Kentucky Law School.

The Kentucky Bar Association found Kim guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
• Entered into Alford plea to two counts of first degree official misconduct
• Submitted sham claim with the Metro Louisville Department of Housing and Family Services on behalf of her mother
• Ordered to reimburse state $8,885 re: sham claim for mother

As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court the punished Kim by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Kim.
