Attorney Benton Gordon Jr. of Union, MS; ticket fixer

The state of Mississippi presented Benton Rex Gordon Jr. with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from California Western Law School in San Diego.

The Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance found Benton guilty of the following misconduct while he was employed as a Municipal court judge in Union, Mississippi.

In one matter, Benton was personally involved in ticket fixing by “passing” fourteen (14) traffic tickets to the file over the objections of the issuing law enforcement agencies.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Mississippi Supreme Court punished Benton by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2015), Benton practices at 408 Bank Street in Union, Mississippi.
