Attorney Phillip Griffin II of Winchester, VA; ethical leprechaun

The state of Virginia presented Phillip Stone Griffin II with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Richmond Law School.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Acted unfairly to opposing party and counsel
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Pursued unmeritorious claims and contentions (frivolity)
  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law in another state
  • ArlingtonCountycourt imposed $6,000 sanction v. Phil
  • Knowingly disobeyed or counseled client to disregard court order

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Board punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. December 2015), Phil practices at 102 South Kent Street in Winchester, Virginia.
