Attorney Jonathan Silverman of Sanford, NC; repeat offender

The state of North Carolina presented Jonathan Silverman with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Penn State University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Jon guilty of the following misconduct.

In late October 2015, the State Bar filed a complaint alleging that Jon engaged in a sexual relationship with a client of the Staton Doster Post, et al. law firm during two periods of time when the firm represented her, which is clearly in violation of North Carolina State Bar rules and policy.

• Failed to disclose settlement terms with court in criminal matter
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Jon by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.
