Judge Rosemarie Aquilina of Lansing, MI; enabler for bigots
The state of Michigan presented Rosemarie Aquilina with a law license in 1985 after she graduated from Temple University Law School.
Rosemarie was a member of a Michigan State Bar Association Committee that voted to present attorney Kyle Bristow with an award for authoring a short story despite the fact that his story revealed that he was a dyed-in-the-wool bigot. To view a story about Mr. Bristow see the URL listed at the end of this article.
An example of Mr. Bristow’s racist and bigoted writing that Judge Aquilina felt deserved an award is as follows:
After the media got wind of the content of Bristow’s short story and the award presented to him by Judge Aquilina and other members of the State Bar, they had no choice but to rescind the award.
Clearly, had the media not thoroughly embarrassed Judge Aquilina and her fellow comrades, their decision to reward Mr. Bristow for his bigoted rant would have stood.
As we speak (ca. September 2015), Judge Aquilina continues to sit as an Ingham County Court judge in Lansing, Michigan.
