Attorney Mimi Desjardins of Wailuku, HI; scofflaw

The state of Hawaii presented Mimi Desjardins with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from Seattle University Law School.

Mimi’s misconduct took place while she was sitting as a Second Circuit District Court judge in Maui, which culminated in the Commission on Judicial Conduct finding her guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Altered (forged) ten Judicial Determination of Probably Cause documents
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to ensure far and impartial administration of justice
  • Pleaded no contest to one count of tampering with a government record

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Hawaii Supreme Court punished Mimi by gifting her with a complimentary 120-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2015), Mimi practices at 44 North Market Street in Wailuku, Hawaii.
