David Barton Today’s “Bigot” Award Winner
This isn’t the first Award presented to Dave. In the past, he has been the recipient of seven (7) Awards. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.
In a recent (April 2015) posting, Dave claimed that God will never allow scientists to find a vaccine for HIV/AIDS because such a vaccine would eliminate the divine "penalty" for homosexuality, which would contradict the teaching found in Romans 1.
In support of his whacky claims, Dave, claimed that the virus that causes AIDS is constantly mutating, making it impossible to inoculate against. He went on to point to news stories about various failures by researchers to successfully test an experimental vaccine as "proof" of his claim.
Even though his claim is patently false, Dave continues to repeat it as he recently did when he spoke at Faith Baptist Church in Knightdale, North Carolina in early April 2015.
Unbeknownst to Dave is that in Roman 1, what God really meant to say was that there will never be a vaccine to cure degenerate homophobes.
One must seriously wonder why Dave spends so much time in spewing forth vitriolic hatred towards members of the gay community. Maybe we need to ask Dave the following question:
“What’s in your closet, Dave?”
