Judge Anthony Mallery of Susanville, CA; moronic slacker

The State of California provided Anthony Richard Mallery with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from California Northern University School of Law.

The California Commission on Judicial Performance found Tony guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to perform judicial duties competently (moron)
• Engaged in 23 acts of willful misconduct
• Engaged in 36 acts of prejudicial misconduct
• Lacked honesty and integrity in his testimony before ethics investigators
• Conduct reflects a troubling inability to conform his behavior to appropriate judicial standards
• Lacked the understanding of what being a judge is and requires, or both
• Repeated nature of much of Tony’s misconduct also suggests a lack of effort or ability to change or modify his conduct
• Failed to act with diligence (slacker)
• Engaged in a pattern of conduct involving retaliating against court employees Brandy Cook, Crystal Jones, and
• Marian Tweddell-Wirthlin for cooperating with the ethics commission and discouraging them from cooperating with the commission
• The commission opened a number of investigations into Tony, because numerous complaints were received alleging that he was engaging in ongoing and extensive misconduct, many of which were proven to be true

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Judicial Performance Commission ordered that Tony be removed from the bench.

As we speak (ca. June 2024), it is rumored that Tony has an application pending as a bathroom attendant at the Walmart Supercenter Store at 2900 Main Street in Susanville, California.
