Solicitor Philip Meagher of Ireland; ethical dwarf

The Law Society of Ireland provided Philip Meagher with a solicitor’s license in 2007 after he graduated from graduated from the National University of Ireland.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Phil guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Failed to comply with an undertaking furnished to a named bank regarding his clients and borrowers
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Phil!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Phil by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment and ordered to pay a sums of €4,000 ($4,300 US) to the compensation fund and €2,512 ($2,700 US) as a contribution towards the whole of the costs of the applicant.

As we speak (ca. May 2024), Phil practices his so-called brand of law with the Midland Legal Solicitors at Fitzmaurice House, Bank Place in Portlaoise, Ireland.
